Arthur's Trip to Flagstaff

This past weekend my wife and I decided to make a trip to Flagstaff, AZ so that I could photograph the aspen's fall colors. We decided to bring our collie, Arthur, for the trip since he's never been to Flag'. Well to say the least, he loved it and so did we. For now, I will treat you to a couple of photos that I took of Arthur.

I love trying my hand at pet photography. It's difficult but rewarding when you get that one good shot. It requires a lot of patience, but it's worth it to capture our furry friends in a more natural way. As with people, its best to just hang out with them shooting and letting them get comfortable with you and your camera. At that point they are relaxed and begin to show a little more of their true selves.

First Post and Job Update

Well, I finally got my blog up and running, took me all of several months talking and a moment of bravery to just say "do it" to finally end up here. So to all I say "Hello!!!"

Anyways, as a first, and rather quick update, I just wanted to say how excited I am to have just completed an assignment and have my work displayed at the Biomechanix PT clinic in Goodyear. For this job I was commissioned to photograph a "wingspan" of a swimmer to hang on the wall of the clinics entry way. I was very pleased with the print, my first done on canvas and my first to such a large scale. I will be photographing the entire area designed by Savoir Faire and will post that when I have it. Until then here is the photo that I had printed.
